Patiala, April 07, 2019: President of Nawan Punjab Party S. Jagdev Singh Grewal told the media that the meeting of the State Executive in its meeting on 25th March 2019 adopted the ‘Declaration’ of Punjab Manch as its political road map for building a Nawan Punjab. President Jagdev Singh Grewal released the declaration for public discussion and added that this document will be internally discussed in the rank and file of the party after which it will be finally incorporated as the aim towards building a Nawan Punjab with liberty, equality and fraternity as its building blocks.
The party announced its State executive committee namely Sumit Singh Bhullar General Secretary, Jagjit Singh Cheema Vice President, Narinder Singh Sandhu member, Robin Aggarwal member, Gurpreet Kaur member, Satnam Daun member, Professor Malkiat Singh Saini member, Sukhvinder Singh Kahlon member, Harpreet Singh member, Darshan Singh member, Comrade Mahavir Singh member,Jagdamba Kaushal member, Harmeet Kaur member. In addition to this, the party announced its district presidents, namely Harpreet Singh for Moga, Jagtar Singh Gill for Amritsar, Mohan Singh for Fatehgarh Sahib,Lali Sakrodi for Sangrur, Varinder Arora for Muktsar. In the coming days the party plans to announce its office bearers and district committees.
Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi hailed the formation of Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) as a new beginning that has belied all wagging tongues that these political formations of different hues cannot unite. He claimed that in contrast to the so-called established parties PDA not only was the first one to close seat sharing but has forged a political document, Common Minimum Program election 2019. Dr Dharamvira and President Jagdev Singh released the Common Minimum Program along with other leaders of PDA partners. Others present on the occasion were Sahib Singh Naina from BSP, Rachpal Singh Jodemajra from Punjab Ekta Party, Harinderjit Kaur from Communist Party and Satnam Daun from Nawan Punjab Party.
President of Nawan Punjab Party (NPP) today declared Dr Dharamvira Gandhi as its candidate for Lok Sabha elections 2019 to take on the might of rich and powerful in Patiala. He expressed his happiness to present to the people of Punjab a candidate who for years has been leading the struggle for ‘autonomy’ to Punjab and other states in a ‘Federal India’; a candidate who has unflinchingly espoused the cause of river waters, Punjab’s rights over water head-works, Chandigarh as capital of Punjab, the status of Punjabi, amending of the draconian NDPS Act and ending of police and Mafia raj. He asked the voters of Patiala to vote for ‘Mike’ in Patiala; Punjab Ekta Party in Khadoor Sahab, Bathinda and Faridkot; BSP in Anandpur Sahab, Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar, Lok Insaf Party in Fatehgarh sahab, Ludhiana and Sangrur; Communist Party of India in Ferozepur and Amritsar and Revolutionary Marxist Party in Gurdaspur, all PDA candidates.
S. Jagdev Singh Grewal called upon people of Punjab to vote out the corrupt and arrogant Congress government who showed little care to fulfil its poll promises of farmers’ loan waiver, ending drug mafia and employment to every household. Captain Amrinder Singh’s government has proved to be a bigger failure than the Akali-BJP combine. He also called upon the people to take this opportunity to defeat the nefarious designs of Modi government to crush every kind of different opinion and dissent of peasants and workers; and suppress the nationalities, religions, caste, linguistic, racial and ethnic diversities into submission.
The President appealed to the people to fund the campaign of Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi and other PDA candidates so that the dreams of the Aam Aadmi could be realized.
Earlier the Main election Office at Patiala was inaugurated by cutting of the ribbon and electioneering formally inaugurated in the presence of the leaders from the PDA partner parties.
