Chandigarh, April 15,2019: A Sikh visitor died Sunday during his trip to Pakistan for Vaisakhi celebrations. Hoshiar Singh, 65, suffered heart attack and lost his life. Singh, a resident of Hattan, a place near Malerkotla of district Sangrur went along with around 839 Sikhs to neighbouring country.
Singh suffered from heart attack on April 12 and was admitted to RIC hospital Rawalpindi where he died on April 14 at 3pm.
Singh's body will be sent to India soon after all the medical formalities get over in Pakistan.
Around 839 Sikh devotes led by Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee boarded a special train to Pakistan on April 12. During the visit, the pilgrims had to visit Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib gurdwara.
Pakistan had granted 2,200 visas to Sikh pilgrims from India to participate in Vaisakhi celebrations from April 12 to 21.
