Chandigarh, April 19, 2019: Haryana police has arrested six proclaimed offenders, including four from Rohtak district and two from Charkhi Dadri, police said here on Friday. While stating this here, a spokesman of police department said that as a part of special campaign to arrest proclaimed offenders, bail jumpers and parole jumpers, Rohtak police has arrested Naurang of village Dadholi in Hisar and Rohtash of village Khidwali. Both were declared proclaimed offenders in the year 2015 and 2019 respectively.
In another case, sleuths of Sampla Thana nabbed Sandeep of village Kultana, who was declared proclaimed offender by the court two months earlier.
Another proclaimed offender Rajbir, a resident of Sunaria Khurd was arrested by a team of Crime Investigation Agency. A case relating to theft incident was registered against him 2006. The court declared him proclaimed offender in the year 2013.
Similarly, police in Charki Dadri during a special drive has arrested Narender of village Chara in Jhajjar and Madan Lal of Rohtak, who were declared proclaimed offenders by the court in February 2019 and May 2018 respectively.
In another case, a total of 392 boxes of illicit country made liquor were seized from Kachhi Garhi Mohalla in Rohtak following a raid by cops. Case against two accused were registered in this connection. Both the accused were at large and efforts were on to nab them.
Police teams have also arrested five persons in separate incidents from district Rohtak and 93 bottles of illicit liquor were seized from their possession. They failed to produce license of the seized liquor.(agency)
