New Delhi, Apr 24, 2019 - In an apparent jibe at interview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said no amount of acting would help when the reality is known.
In a post on social media, Rahul, in an apparent reference to the PM's interview to Akshay kumar, said that the ' chowkidar' needed to understand that he could not deceive the public.
'हकीकत रूबरू हो तो अदाकारी नहीं चलती। जनता के सामने, चौकीदार मक्कारी नहीं चलती। (When the reality is for all to see, no amount of acting helps. The Chowkidar should understand that deciet does not work with the public)' Mr Gandhi tweeted.
Mr Gandhi's reaction came in response to Akshay Kumar's "non-political" interview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the sprawling lawns of his official residence in Delhi in which he talked of life after his retirement and aspecys of his personal life.
Earlier, taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interview with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, the Congress said that it seemed that the PM was looking for an alternative employment avenue in the film industry.
Addressing the mediapersons, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala said,'an unsuccessful politician who has decimated India's economy, decimated India's jobs, who has made life hell for India's farmers and the poor, is now trying to become a better actor than Akshay Kumar. It seems that a failed politician who is going to be rejected on May 23, is looking for an alternative employment avenue in Bollywood.'
'Akshay Kumar is a very great actor. We all like him. He is a successful actor. A failed politician is trying to become more better actor than Akshay. This is a good try. But how can he become better actor than Akshay Kumar. Maybe he has made his mind to move from politics to the Bollywood, because these days biopic is also going on.
