May 09, 2019: The ensuing Loak Sabha elections will be strictly held peacefully in free and fair manner without any pressure and no one will be allowed to take law in his own hands, said Shyamal Kishore Pathak IAS from Bihar cadre appointed as General observer for Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency. He called upon the voters and the candidates that he will be available for public in Bachat Bhawan Fatehgarh Sahib from 9.30 to 11.30 AM or they can contact him on cell number 89683-84434 to register any type of complaint or information regarding malpractices, high handedness, pressure or distribution of money, drugs, liquor or goods, so that prompt action could be initiated.
He said that prompt action will be initiated on the complaints regarding violation of model code of conduct. He warned the officials not to participate in any political activity and strict action will be initiated.
Dr. Parshant Goyal DC Cum Returning Officer said that district administration is keeping close watch on the activities of candidates and their supporters to conduct free and fair poll. He said no one will be allowed to influence the voters by issuing threats, undue pressure, bribe, intoxicants and money. He said special facilities will be available for special voters. He called upon the voters particularly young voters to cast their votes without any fear, pressure or lust.
