EC orders re-poll at a booth in Chandi Chowk
New Delhi, May 17, 2019: The Election Commission has announced re-polling at a polling station in Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency, in National Capital.
"The re-poll will be held on May 19, on the seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha polls, in booth no. 32 in Chandi Chowk", the poll body said.
Earlier, Delhi Chief Electoral Officer had submitted a report to the Commission, seeking re-poll in booth no. 32, citing the presiding officer in the booth forget to delete the 'mock votes' before conducting the actual polls on May 12.
Usually, presiding officers are conducting a 'mock vote' in every booths to ensure that the EVMs are working properly, in the presence of polling agents of political parties.
