New Delhi, May 19, 2019 - The All India Trinamool Congress and the Jammu and kashmir national Congress on Sunday dismissed the findings of the exit polls , which predicted that the BJP-led-NDA would come back to power by securing a comfortable majority, and said that it is better to wait for the actual results on May 23.
In separate tweets, West Bengal Chief Minister and AITC chief Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress MP Derek O 'Brien said that it is better to wait for May 23 as exit polls were manipulative and further appealed to all opposition parties to stay united.
Taking to twitter over the flowing in data of the exit polls on different news channels, Ms Banerjee reacted saying that she does not trust the exit poll 'gossip'.
'I don’t trust Exit Poll gossip. The game plan is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip. I appeal to all Opposition parties to be united, strong and bold. We will fight this battle together', she said in a tweet.
Sharpening her attack she alleged that the game plan behind such exercise is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip.
Meanwhile her party MP Derek O'Brien questioned whether 'Delhi Media' has masqueraded as 'national media' saying that have they lost their credentials and credibility.
He further said that the exit polls will only confuse, adding that it is better to wait for the verdict of people.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah , while maintaining that every exit poll could not be wrong however , said that the real picture will be clear on May 23 , and it was better to switch off TV and not refer to rsults as of now on social media.
'Every single exit poll can’t be wrong! Time to switch off the TV, log out of social media & wait to see if the world is still spinning on its axis on the 23rd.', Mr Abdullah tweeted.
