Fatehgarh Sahib, May 22, 2019: Votes of four assembly constituencies falling in Lok Sabha constituency Fatehgarh Sahib which includes Bassi Pathana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Amloh and Amargarh will be counted at counting centers established at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib and all the arrangements are up to the mark at the counted centers. This was stated by Dr. Prashant Kumar Goyal, District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner, Fatehgarh Sahib here at Guru Granth Sahib University along with Shyamal Kishore Pathak, General Observer for Fatehgarh Sahib Lok Sabha constituency while inspecting the arrangements for the counting of votes.
Dr. Goyal said that the counting process would be completed with full transparency. He further disclosed that the counting staff of 450 employees would count the votes at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University where 14 counting tables have been installed for each Assembly Constituency. At each table one micro counting observer, counting supervisor and counting assistant have been deputed. He disclosed that the votes of the five other assembly constituencies falling in this Lok Sabha constituency which includes Khanna, Samrala, Sahnewal, Raikot and Payal would be counted at Sri Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. Counting would start at 08:00 am on May 23.
SSP Amneet Kondal said that the full proof security arrangements have been made and nobody would be allowed to disturb the law and order situation. He appealed the people to cooperate with the police for maintaining peace on the day of counting.
During this ADC (G) Jaspreet Singh, SP (D) Harpal Singh, XEN PWD Balwinder Singh and DSP (H) Hardeep Singh were also present among other officials.
