The ruling Congress in Punjab has taken an unsurpassable lead in 8 seats after completion of the final round of the counting of votes.
The SAD-BJP candidates are allso set to be formally declared winners in 4 constituencies and so is the AAP candidate from one seat.
The counting of postal ballots is on.
The formal declaration of results is likely to take another couple of hours as Voters Verfiable Paper Audit Trial (VVPAT) lists also remain to be matched.
The winning Congress candidates are Preneet Kaur from Patiala, Ravneet Singh Bittu from Ludhiana, Dr Amar Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib, Santokh Chaudhary from Jalandhar, Gurjeet Singh Aujla from Amritsar, Manish Tiwari from Ananpur Sahib, Mohammad Sadique from Faridkot and Jasbir Singh Gill (Dimpa) from Khadoor Sahib.
The SAD-BJP winners include Sukhbir Singh Badal from Ferozepur, Harsimrat Kar Badal from Bhatinda, Sunny Deol from Gurdaspur, and Som Parkash from Hoshiarpur.
The sole AAP winner is Bhagwant Mann who is sitting MP from Sangrur.
The final tally of votes secured by the winners and other candidates will be updated accordingly.
