Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies suspended
Chandigarh. June 12, 2019: The Cooperation Minister, Sukhjinder Singh Randhwa has suspended Additional Registrar (I) Cooperative Societies, Harjinder Singh Sidhu in Cooperation Department on account of financial irregularities.
Official spokesman in a press release said, Harinder Singh Sidhu, former Director of Punjab State Agriculture Development Bank, during the year 2016-17 and 2017-18, had committed serious irregularities for getting the work done for Rs.45 lack without any tender and permission. On the orders of Cooperation Minister, Additional Chief Secretary (Co-operation) has issued orders to suspend Harinder Singh Sidhu with immediate effect.
An official spokesman further said that the renovation of the bank was started without any required formalities. The organisation suffered a huge loss due to the repair of the building keeping aside the rules.
It may be mentioned that Vinod Kumar, the present Manager of general branch of the bank, Vinod Kumar has already been placed under suspension and investigation against the other members of Building Repair Committee General Manager(Finance) Gurpinder Singh Deputy General Manager, Balbir Singh and Assistant General Manager Jagdish Singh Negi, is going on.
