Doctors go on nation-wide strike
New Delhi, June 15, 2019: The doctor’s strike started from Kolkota earlier this week has now spread across India showing full support to their West Bengal colleagues.
Condemning the violence in Bengal, more than 19 doctor’s associations all over the country have joined the strike call. Including at Delhi in AIIMS, more than 10,000 doctors have given a call for strike. Indian Medical Association have also given a nation-wide strike on Monday.
On the other hand Residents Doctors Assoication have given 48 hrs ultimatum to Mamata Government and in case the demands are not met, AIIMS will also join the indefinite strike.
As per the reports, not only this, around 300 doctors have resigned at different government hospitals and 175 doctors of SSKM hospital have resigned enemas.
