Pump in all resources to provide succour to residents

In a healing touch to residents of flood affected villages in Shahkot Sub Division, the MLA of Shahkot Aseembly segment Hardev Singh Ladi, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police Navjot Singh Mahal today left no stone unturned to help the people affected by floods.
The MLA, Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police channelised all the resources at the hands of the district administration to provide succour to people. As soon as the news of breach at village Mandiala reached them, the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police rushed to the spot and immediately pumped in the State Disaster Response Force for rescuing the villagers stranded in houses.
Though the residents of the houses were reluctant to come out but the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police rescued three women, two men and one child from those houses.
Similarly during review of marooned areas on motor boat the MLA, Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police rescued a 70 year old ailing woman who was suffering from multiple diseases. The women were rushed to hospital by the authorities.
At village Gatti Mandi Kaasu when the villagers requested for the shifting of their children to safer places, the MLA, Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police de-boarded the boat and asked the NDRF authorities to shift the children at safer places.
Later on the MLA, Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent boarded the motor cycles to acquaint themselves about the problems being faced by the residents who had moved to safer places.
The trio moved on motor cycle over the Dhussi bandh and interacted with the people about their needs and asked the authorities to ensure that the goods were delivered to them through boats at the earliest.
Later on they also reviewed the situation in marooned villages Mundi Sherian, Mundi Cholian, Mehrajwala, Kotha, Gatti Raipur and others.
