Chandigarh: 18.10.2019 - Air Force Station Bhisiana organised aero-adventure camp involving powered hang glider and para-sailing for the defence personnel and the students, including local populace of Bhatinda District from 15 to 18 October 2019. The objective of the event was to promote the spirit of adventure and motivate the students to aspire for an adventurous life and a bright career in the Indian Air Force.
The event organised as part of the Indian Air Force anniversary celebration was inaugurated by Air Commodore GS Chauhan, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Bhisiana on 15 October 2019. In these 04 days a feat of 168 parasail and 120 PHG rides was achieved by Wg Cdr Ajmer Singh and his team, giving a touch of flying experience to a large number of students and personnel.
In his concluding speech, Air Officer Commanding said that the flying experience and these adventure activities would go a long way in encouraging and motivating the youth to join the Indian Air Force.
