Three competitions between six teams
International Kabaddi Tournament on Dec. 4 at Guruharsahai
Guruharsahai, December 2, 2019: For the first time in this border district, three competitions between six teams of International Kabaddi Tournaments dedicated to 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, will be held at Guru Ram Dass Stadium at Guruharsahai.
Divulging with the details, ADC General, Ravinder Singh informed that there will be competition between six teams. While the first match will be between India Vs Sri Lanka and the other two will be between England Vs Australia and Canada Vs Newzeland.
However, all arrangements have been made to host the kabaddi tournaments at Guruharsahai and reviewed by the senior Congress leaders and district administration.
The matches will be held from 11 am to 4.30 pm. During the tournaments, there will also be cultural programme to entertain the audience by the famous Punjabi folk singers.
Kuldeep Bawa, SDM Guruharsahai was also present on this occasion.
This time, 9 teams – US, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Kenya, New Zealand and Canada are participating in this championship including India hosting the event.
The closing ceremony will be held at Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur where Capt Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister, will preside over. The winning team would be awarded a cash prize of Rs.25 lakh, the runner up Rs.15 lakh and those on the third spot Rs.10 lakh.
