Former Federation leader Davinder Singh Sodhi resigns from Congress, joins SS Dhindsa group
Chandigarh, January 21, 2020 :
Former federation leader Davinder Singh Sodhi today resigned from Congress and joined hands with Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
Sodhi has been crusader for historic struggle for 1984 Sikh riot victims and continued his fight for the safety of religious Sikh sentiments. Sodhi has served All India Sikh Students Federation as Secretary General for a long period and remained as Political Advisor to the previous Shiromani Akali Dal govt. in Punjab.
Sodhi had resigned from the Shiromni Akali Dal due to the anti panthic approach of the party president Sukhbir Singh Badal and had joined Congress.
Today, Sodhi resigned from the Congress party and declared his unconditional support to Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
Sodhi confirmed that Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa will remove all anomalies in the Shiromani Akali Dal and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and would fight for the restoration of the panthic Sikh sentiments.
Influenced by the vision and mission of Dhindsa, Sodhi has offered his services voluntarily at his disposal.
Sodhi said, Badal family has done extensive damage to the party and Shiromni Parbandhak Committee both.
Needless to say, Sodhi has been highly close to Maharani Parneet Kaur, Member Parliament and wife of ruling Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh.
