Chandigarh, March 29, 2020: Fourteen relatives of the 21-year-old man, who tested positive for coronavirus yesterday, have tested negative in the first test for the dreaded disease. Two more tests will be done and only then they will be given all clear if both tests come out negative. At the moment all of them are being kept in quarantine and not allowed to meet anyone.The youth had returned from Nepal to his village Ramnagar Sanian, tehsil Ghanaur, district Patiala, on March 18 and after complaining of fever and diarrhoea, he was taken to Civil Hospital, Ambala, where his sample came out psotive for coronavirus.

Later, 14 members of his family, who included his grandmother (75 years old), mother (45), sister (17), brother (15), two uncles (55, 49), their wives (50, 46) and their kids, were tested for coronavirus at a labortatory in Rajendra Hospital, Patiala. According to Dr Pradeep all results came out negative.
The youth is admitted to Civil Hospital, Ambala, and his father is with him. Father’s test will be conducted at the hospital.
