S. A. S. Nagar, April 02, 2020: Going a step further in the direction of delivery of essentials at peoples’ doorstep, the District Administration has registered/uploaded the data of local grocery stores on the State Government’s COVA app, informed Girish Dayalan Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar.
He said that COVA app was launched a couple of days ago for people in Punjab to get their curfew passes for emergencies, to report mass gatherings, to know home quarantine patients and foreign returned travellers and a lot more on COVID-19.
Adding another feature to the COVA app, now a home delivery module related to essential items for public has been launched in the COVA app by Punjab Governance Reforms Department, he informed adding that the District Administration has partnered with local vendors for the purpose and people shall now be able to place an order for delivery on the COVA app itself.
The move is aimed at improving citizen service delivery and ease citizen experience during the lockdown. SAS Nagar people can soon request for delivery of groceries and essentials through this App, said he.
People may download COVA app and use the home delivery module for supply of essential items to the homes.
Pertinently, the App was launched by Punjab Government along with its innovative Digital Punjab Team and is available on Android PlayStore and iOS AppStore.
