Comedian Kapil turns producer___ Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma marks his debut as a producer with TV show Comedy Nights With Kapil. Adding to the madness, he will be seen donning multiple avatars, that of an actor, scriptwriter and producer in his production debut. Known for his strong comic timing as well as his ability to find humour in any situation, he will present a distinctive take on everyday life in a fresh way. The show is likely to hit the small screen in June on Colors. At the same time, the 32-year-old will be seen exhibiting his dancing skills on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, which is also going on air next month.

Chandigarh, October 7 (babushahi.com bureau): The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party met on Sunday under the President ship of Shri Nitin Gadkari. Delhi, January 21 (BB): This year 23 Tableaux will participate in the forthcoming Republic Day Parade � 2012 where India will showcase its military might, varied cultural diversity, development in Science and Technology and economic strength. This year�s tableaux component comprises 13 States and Ten Union Ministries / Departments. Each tableau depicts its own story to portray themes ranging from Heritage, Culture, Art & Crafts, Biotechnology, Sustainable Agriculture and Environment.
Punjab which is one of the participating states in Tableaux presentation has chosen the theme on Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It will highlight the larger than life figure of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh atop the Lahore fort adorns the tractor portion of the tableaux.

From sending news through taxi drivers, telegraphs, wire services, fax, phones and now emails, Baljit Balli, has seen it all. Having been associated with the media industry for the past three decades, Balli is now officially launching his web news portal, babushahi.com.
The term 'babushahi' means a world of bureaucracy, and the website aims at digging out exclusive scoops from politicians and concerned bureaucrats.
Balli's association with Punjabi daily, Ajit, for 25 years, depicts his knowledge of the region's politics. He then moved on to PTC news channel, where his show, Tirchhi Nazar, became a platform to grill politicians and bureaucrats. The decision to come up with a portal that would exclusively cater to the region's news came about in June this year.
Since then, the portal has been running on an experimental basis.
"Since 11.11.11 is an auspicious date, I thought of launching the portal on Friday itself. People know about the existence of this portal, but not about the man behind it. From now on, I will officially be guiding the activities of the website to give our readers an extensive coverage of the politics of the region," says Balli.
"The USP of the portal is its focus on the region, which can serve as a goldmine of news and scams that has remained untouched by the national media, since everyone has been running behind `breaking news'," he adds.
Deliberations have been made to keep the portal user friendly, while keeping the visitors abreast with the latest happenings. The portal offers a plethora of topics, which include the latest news, interviews, features, success stories and profiles. An archive to refer to past incidents has also been setup.
One can also refer to present and future events on this archive, which is free of cost, and can also be subscribed to for free.
The portal has also created a page on Facebook and has developed its own search engine that is exclusive to the portal and not attached to Google.
"I want to dedicate this portal to the common man who is bearing the brunt of our politicians. I just want to spread awareness about the daily affairs of the political activities of the region," concludes Balli.
