Indianapolis, March 20, 2017: Spearheaded by Avni Johnson, South Asian Students Association Butler University celebrated with enthusiasm SASA Holi 2017 at 704, W Hampton Dr. Indianapolis. Despite cold weather, a large number of students from different countries and guests came out to be part of the Rang Barse Re... Holi celebration.
SASA Holi was celebrated at Butler for this first time in campus history.
Senior Manager of Accenture Rupal Thakker Thanawala, who is involved in multipurpose programs throughout the year as her hobby, was attended and participated in the "Colour Throw." Gulal (colour powder) was used. All participants, irrespective of their nationalty or faith enjoyed the festival.
Thanking all participants who came to celebrate the Holi Festival, Avni Johnson said "It was a celebration to never forget, and we are extremely excited to continue sharing our culture with all of you!"

Before gulal was applied on the face or threw in the air the organizers informed the participants, specially who are not aware of this festival, Holika Dahan story. Later lively Indian dances were performed by the artists.
