Chandigarh, September 29, 2017:
An Amritdhari (baptized) Sikh girl alleged she was denied drinking water on board British Airways flight on way to London from Canada.
A journalist by profession, Harsharan Kaur has posted the incident on Facebook.
When asked, the flight staff said they forgot to offer her water by mistake, she alleged.
She also alleged having been denied food even as all other passengers were served the same. She was offered food only when she pointed this out to the staff angrily.
She, however, refused to eat out of protest.
Later, she asked for juice which again was allegedly denied to her till the flight landed at London’s Heathrow Airport.
Harsharan Kaur alleged this type of discriminatory treatment was meted out to her because she was an Amrtidhari Sikh girl.
She lodged a written complaint after reaching Heathrow Airport.
