Interestingly, this across the border phenomena is not limited to the government employees. Even those working in the private sector besides self-employed people running small businesses are also known to have actively adopted this add on profession.
Over 500 government employees especially teachers are still working as journalists in violation of Sindh Civil Servant (Conduct) Rules 2008 despite the Singh High Court’s (SHC) order, reported The Express Tribune.
These employees include teachers, assistant professors, professors, principals of various colleges and even doctors and engineers are working as reporters and other different positions on the desk at newspapers and magazines. A majority of these employees do not attend government offices and have given preference to their journalism careers.
