Ferozepur, January 4, 2019: Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation, Pakistan will organize Candle March on January 6 at 4 pm at Press Club, Shimla Pahari, Lahore for the cause of peace between India and Pakistan, said Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, Chairman of Lahore-based Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation.
On his request, ADC Lahore has requested the DIG Police (Operations), Lahore to ensure appropriate security arrangements during the peace march for both the countries i.e Pakistan and India to be held on January 6 at Press Club Shimla Hill, Lahore to avoid any untoward incident.
Qureshi said that Indian and Pakistani governments should celebrate the year 2019 at Peace of the Year dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev's 550th birth celebrations.
He said, both the governments should give relaxation for the visa norms, to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
According to Qureshi, Mahatama Gandhi and Mohammad Ali Jinnah had the vision that the citizens of both the countries despite the creation of border lines, should meet each other without any restrictions like the citizens of Canada and America.
He appealed to the governments of both the countries by keeping aside the political tensions to extend relaxation in visa for easy movements, to the citizens of both the countries so that personal relations and business sharing could improve further.
Added here, Qureshi, an advocate, is also pursuing in the court to prove innocence of Bhagat Singh as there is no mention of his name in the FIR on the basis of which Bhagat Singh and his associates were hanged and renaming of Shadman Chowk at Lahore as Bhagat Singh Chowk.
