June 26, 2019 - Singapore - Global acclamation for Punjab & Haryana High Court Lawyer Harpreet Sandhu’s book, titled, "Singapore - Indian Legal System - A Comparative Study", being launched and appreciated in the Parliament of Singapore. Mr. Sandhu presented the first edition of his book for Mr. Tan Chaun Jin, Hon’ble Speaker of Singapore Parliament Ms. Lim Puay Ling, Research Department, Parliament of Singapore, appreciated Mr. Sandhu’s efforts to undertake research on comparative study on the legal systems of Singapore and India, which will be of immense use for both the nations in domain of law and book authored by Sandhu has been placed as a useful addition in the Library of Parliament. Harpreet Sandhu was also felicitated in Parliament of Singapore.
The High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Singapore His Excellency Mr. Jawed Ashraf, also accorded warm welcome to Sandhu and applauded his book at the High Commission of India in Singapore on 14th June 2019. Mr. Sandhu also presented the Sikh symbol "Khanda Sahib" to the Hon'ble High Commissioner and for the Parliament of Singapore.
Worthy Solicitor General of India, Mr. Tushar Mehta, has written the foreword of this book mentioning therein, that the “The author Advocate Harpreet Sandhu attempt to come out with a book of Comparative Study on Singapore Legal System and Court functioning is a laudable effort and for his visionary effort to further strengthen the legal ties between the nations.
