Mississauga (Ontario, Canada): Liberal Leader and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wore a bullet proof vest and heavy security was deployed when he addressed a large rally in Mississuaga on Saturday. It is yet not clear what the threat was.
Around 2000 Trudeau supporters gathered to cheer the Canadian PM, whose address was delayed by about 90 minutes most probably due to the security threat. Trudeau then appeared on the stage wearing a bullet proof jacket under his suit and escorted by Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The police remained with him on the stage throughout the address and when he shook hands afterwards.ported
CTV report says " Prepared remarks also indicated his wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, was to introduce the Liberal leader. However, she did not appear despite having flown with Trudeau from Vancouver earlier in the day.
The Liberal campaign would not officially comment on the delay or reasons for the increased security presence, but one source confirmed to The Canadian Press there was a security threat."

Justin Trudeau seems to be wearing a bullet proof vest tonight. Let me just say, the RCMP does not mess around with this stuff. They are pros. Trudeau is our PM, and he has three young children. I hope the security threat was neutralized and that Trudeau stays safe.
