'The Last Queen', book on the life of Maharani Jinda now in Punjabi

Chandigarh, December 5, 2021: 'The Last Queen', a historical novel by famous Bengali writer Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni has now been translated into the Punjabi language.
The Punjabi translation of 'The Last Queen' has been done by Dr. Tarshinder Kaur.
Satish Gulati, Head, Chetna Prakashan, said that in this translation done by Tarshinder Kaur with great effort, a large-scale novel based on the life of Maharani Jinda 'Aakhri Maharani' is now available for the readers.
The Last Queen of Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni's novel about Maharani Zinda was launched in India in January 2021.
The novel will be launched in the United States in 2022. It has been praised by publishing groups around the world.
Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is an Indian-American writer and poet. Born and raised in Kolkata, Divakurni moved to the US in 1976 for higher studies. There she lives in Houston with her husband.
Now pursuing her education before becoming a professor at the university, Divakurni has made a living from working in a store clerk and bakery to a variety of jobs.
