Three children's books about Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu & Serena Williams penned by sports writer Navdeep Singh Gill, released by the three girls

Ludhiana, November 5, 2023: Three children's books penned by eminent sports writer Navdeep Singh Gill on Biographies of Serena Williams, Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, were released by three Punjabi girls Mansanjh Kaur Gill, Gulnaz Kaur Gill and Asees Kaur Gill in a simple but impressive ceremony organised by Punjabi Lok Virasat Academy Ludhiana at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, here today.
It was worth mentioning that Prof. Ravinder Bhathal, Navdeep Singh Gill's teacher during his college days at SD College Barnala, and Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill were also present on this occasion.
Prof. Bhathal said that he recognized Navdeep's literary creative power at first sight in the year 1999 and his first article on sports was published during his student days. He said that Navdeep's intensity and persistence are his energetic power.
Chairman of Punjabi Lok Virasat Academy Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill said that Navdeep Singh Gill, who was born in Shaina (Barnala), has written a great book titled "Uddna Baaz Gurbachan Singh Randhawa" and has now started the work of penning sports literature for children.
Navdeep Singh Gill, an Information and Public Relations Officer of the Government of Punjab, has covered many major sporting events including the Doha Asian Games 2006, Beijing Olympics 2008, and Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010.
Narrating about her three children's sports books, Navdeep Singh Gill said that Saina Nehwal, born in Haryana and based in Hyderabad, is a revolutionary player in girls' badminton competitions in India, who participated in the Olympics for the first time at the age of 18.
She became the first badminton player to win a bronze medal at the London Olympics in 2012. She also won three gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games.
Known as the Queen of Badminton, PV Sindhu is the most successful and accomplished player in the history of Indian sports. PV Sindhu won silver in the Rio Olympics and bronze in the Tokyo Olympics. 28-year-old PV Sindhu has been in the game of badminton for the past nine years apart from becoming the world champion.
Serena Williams, the youngest of five sisters born in the USA, known as the queen of the tennis court, is the player who has won the most Grand Slam titles in women's categories since 1968, winning 23 in the singles category. Serena Williams broke Steffi Graf's record.
Soon he is also writing about some other great sportsmen and sports for children's literature series. He was inspired to write these books by Harish Jain, owner of Lok Geet Prakashan and Unistar.
On this occasion, DPRO Puneet Pal Singh Gill, Gurjit Singh Dhillon, Jaswinder Kaur Gill, Inderpreet Kaur Gill, Rajdeep Kaur Dhillon and Ravneet Kaur Gill were also present.
