Khullar, KP Singh release Dr. Trikha's book on partition

Veteran journalist, eminent author, poet and critic Dr Chander Trikha’s new book-`Vibhajan Ek Kala Adhyay’ based on the Indo-Pak partition was released today by Rajesh Khullar, PSCM to the Haryana Chief Minister at a programme organised in the city today. Eminent authors spoke at length about the new book. The book has been released by Shabdlok and Abhishek Publication.
The release of the much hyped book was attended by prominent authors Dr Atamjit, Dr K P Singh, DGP, Haryana, Deputy Commissioner Sumedha Kataria, Madhvi Dhaumya, Dr Virender Mehndiratta, Gulzar Sandhu, Dr Sanjay Chaturvedi, Madhav Kaushik, Prof. Harbans Singh and many others.
Launching the book Rajesh Khullar, PSCM to the Haryana Chief Minister said, Dr Chander Trikha’s book will be a source of knowledge and information for the future generations. It will be a guideline to them. He said, besides being an eminent personality, Dr. Trikha is like a God to him. ``I wish for the success of the book,’’ said Khullar.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chander Trikha said - human tragedy has always pained him a great deal. `My family has suffered the trauma of partition. We travelled a distance of 40 miles passing through corpses, all victims of partition to reach India. There are so many others who suffered similar pain and trauma. I have now got an opportunity to capture that painful experience of others through this book. I hope such a human tragedy never takes place in the world again. Yet there are many countries in this world where talks of division are still going on. It is sad that refugee camps still exist in Bengal and Jammu where people have not been settled yet,’’ said Dr Trikha.
DGP Haryana, Dr K P Singh said it is always a tragedy to choose between good and bad. He praised Dr Trikha for presenting the vivid and complex human relations in a pure and responsible perspective. People can learn a great deal from the quiet, simple and gentle Dr Trikha, he said.
Well-known writer Dr Atmajeet said, division of society is always painful. It signifies the break-up of the human relations. The large number of killings and destruction puts us all to shame. IAS officer Sumedha Kataria, who is herself a writer, said the new generation does not know the pain and sufferings of partition, but they will get a complete picture of the pain of earlier generation.
Doordarshan Director N S Minhas, Head of the Gandhi Smarak Bhawan K K Sharda, well-known poet Prem Vij, , N S Ratna, Vijay Kapoor, Ashok Nadar Shayar, Dr Kailash Ahluwalia, Rakesh pankaj, Dr. Meenakshi Vashishth, Dr Uma Sharma, Dr Vijender, Dr. H K Lal, Neena Bahal and Rajwanti Mann were also present at the programme.
