Chandigarh Airport to remain closed for 12 days, Anil Vij demands shifting operations to Ambala

Chandigarh/Mohali, October 6, 2025: Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport Chandigarh will remain closed for operational maintenance for 12 days from October 26 to November 7, 2025.
According to available details, polymer modified emulsion work has been planned for runway. During this period airfield will not be available for fixed wing aircraft, hence flight operations will remain off during this period.
Meanwhile Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has demanded shifting of operations during this period to Ambala airport for the convenience of public. He has written a letter to Union Civil Aviation Minister to explore the option of shifting of operations to Ambala Civil airport.
