Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda’s Chemistry department organized the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) sponsored 5- Day ATAL online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Sensors Technology”, which began here today.
Dr. Ravindra Kumar Soni, Director ATAL academy inaugurated the FDP. He emphasized on the role of sensors in daily life and shared his views on the importance of FDP’s in upgrading the knowledge of academicians for upliftment of society.
As many as 200 prominent approved delegates from various institutes all over India will attend the FDP. Resource persons from different reputed institutes including Prof. Manoj Kumar Sharma and Prof. Vandana Bhalla (both from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar), Prof. Pranab Goswami from IIT Guwahati and Dr. Dhananjay S Bodas from Agharkar Research Institute are prominent speakers in the current FDP.
Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, Vice Chancellor, MRSPTU appreciated AICTE for providing grants to conduct such training for faculty development.
Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar, Registrar, MRSPTU, Prof. (Dr.) Savina Bansal, Dean Academic Affairs, MRSPTU and Prof. (Dr.) Jasbir Singh Hundal, Dean Research and Development, MRSPTU were guests of honour during the event.
Dr. Meenu, Coordinator of FDP briefed about details regarding current FDP. Dr. Seema Sharma, Head Department of Chemistry welcomed the guests and participants. She apprised the participants of MRSPTU and then with the very young Department of Chemistry of this university.
