Govt Primary School Rc-3 Dhanas celebrates its first Annual Sports Day cum Talent Hunt

Chandigarh, November 23, 2022: The first annual sports day cum Talent Hunt was celebrated at Govt Primary School Rc-3 Dhanas with great grandeur to commemorate one year anniversary of the school in collaboration with Srishti Karma Foundation and Open Eyes Foundation.
The function started at 10 AM. The School Head Navdeep Sharma extended a floral and formal welcome to the chief guest Santokh Singh (Block Education officer) and other dignitaries Astinder Kaur (Chairman, Srishti Karma Foundation) Harcharan Singh (Founder & President, Srishti Karma Foundation),Ravneet Kaur(General Secretary, Srishti Karma Foundation) Sandeep Singh ( Founder & President, Open Eye Foundation) and Navdeep Singh, Monika and Neha (Arpan and Kacchi Sadak Foundation).
The school organized a number of sports events like 50 m, 100 m, one leg race, lemon race, frog race etc. Teachers and SMC members also participated in various events with great enthusiasm.
In addition to it, there was also a cultural program in which various dance performances were given by students.
The Chief Guest gave away the medals and prizes to the winners and congratulated the School Head Navdeep Sharma and the organiser, Munish Garg for organising the whole event, in which all the students and teachers participated and also appreciated the performances of participants.
The School Head gave the vote of thanks and appreciated the Srishti Karma Foundation for sponsoring the medals and prizes and applauded their initiative to help the underprivileged children with meagre resources and lack of guidance and training to excel in sports.
He also thanked the school’s staff for donating a speaker for the school. In short, it was a well thought out event in which the children got an opportunity to discover their talents and Harcharan Singh, the President, Srishti Karma Foundation said that they will help organise such events in future as well, and train the students to explore their potentials and excel in sports and other activities.
