Guest lecture on crop Residual management organized at Mata Gujri College

Fatehgarh Sahib, November 27, 2022: The Department of Agriculture organized a guest lecture for students on crop residual management under promotion of Agriculture Mechanization for Insitu Crop residual management at Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib.
Guest lecture delivered by Dr. Shiva Bhambota, Dr. Manisha Bhatia and Dr. Arvindpreet Kaur from kvk , Fatehgarh sahib, ( Punjab Agriculture University). Students of the agriculture dept also participate in oral competition and students share their views on crop residual management.
Director Principal appreciates the effort of Agriculture dept and said that this is the need of hour to reduce the pollution with the help of crop residual management.
Dean Dr. A.K. Sharma motivates students to participate in crop residual management programes and aware farmers of their villages to use new technologies and implements for crop residual management Dr. Dilip Singh Head Agriculture Dept said that crop residue management, along with crop intensification with crop diversification are the other important components in which our dept is working to improve the soil productivity and crop production by maintaining soil organic matter levels.
Dr. Dilip Singh also gave brief information about experimental farm activities where crop residual management is done with the help of super seeders and other machinery.
Dr. Shiva from PAU gave brief information about crop residual management and implements used for crop residual management. He inform about various schemes of KVK and the Agriculture Dept for Farmers. Faculty members Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Naveet Kaushal, Dr. Santosh Kumar were present during guest lecture.
