PM Modi’s 73rd birthday was celebrated with Hawan and Aarti at Chandigarh temple, people from different faiths pray for PM Modi’s wellbeing
Chandigarh, September 17, 2023: The special prayers and rituals were performed at Sanatan Dharam Mandhir in Sector 16, Chandigarh on Sunday (September 17) to mark the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has tirelessly worked for the public welfare and has transitioned India into a major global power.
The prayers were organized by the Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF) in which an interfaith delegation of IMF also participated to seek God’s blessings for a long life and good health for PM Modi.
The prayers were led by Dr. Shrikant Mishra, Mukhya Archak of the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in Varanasi who had arrived in Chandigarh to mark the occasion. The interfaith delegation of IMF was led by its convenor Satnam Singh Sandhu.
The delegation prayed for PM Modi’s healthy and long life for serving the nation for many more years. Scores of priests, religious personalities, and local community leaders lined up and took part in Hawan and performed an Aarti on the occasion. Hundreds of local community members also gathered to pray for PM Modi’s wellbeing.
They called PM Modi a blessing for the nation and wished for his leadership to continue in the future.
Headed by Satnam Singh Sandhu, the IMF delegation who participated in the prayers included Anil Masih, President of All Churches Council for Punjab and Chandigarh; Mansoor Khan, National President, Sufi Islam Board; Dr Faiyaz Ahmad Fyzie, Author and Socio-Pasmanda Activist, Kashish Warsi, president of Sufi Foundation, Moradabad; Bishop Denzel, People’s Buddhist.
Dr. Shrikant Mishra, Mukhya Archak of the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in Varanasi, said, “We are fortunate to mark the 73rd birthday of our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is our beloved MP as well as I come from Kashi (Varanasi). We are proud as he is our PM and people around the country are celebrating his birthday will zeal. It is joyous that the Indian Minorites Foundation (IMF) celebrated his birthday with such fervor, for which I have come here.”
“I pray to lord Shiva for PM Modi’s long and healthy life. He has made strenuous efforts for the welfare of people during the last nine years and we all have gathered here to pray that he continues to work for the development of the country,” he said.
He further said, “The leaders of all the religions have assembled here to mark the occasion and pray for PM Modi. For the last nine years, he has made every citizen proud with his vision. His efforts are the reason that India is progressing at an unprecedented level. India under PM Modi is moving towards becoming the ‘Vishwa Guru’.
Satnam Singh Sandhu, said, “This day is very special for all of us as this marks the birthday of the most visionary and decisive prime minister in the history of Independent India. We are grateful for his leadership and holistic approach which has resulted in transitioning India into a major global power. He has established the image of a self-reliant India”
“PM Modi has showcased true secularism through his policies and initiatives which have led to the welfare of people without any discrimination. He dedicated his nine year’s tenure for the welfare of poor and underprivileged sections and is seen as their ‘Messiah’,” said Satnam Singh Sandhu, adding that PM Modi ensured social justice in India which was neglected by the previous governments in many ways.
Acharya Om Prakash, “The discrimination on the grounds of caste, creed and religion was eradicated by PM Modi through his secular approach towards which has galvanized India’s progress and development in the last nine years. Bharat evolved as major global power under the committed leadership of PM Modi.”
“PM Modi has worked for all communities and provided amicable solutions to their longstanding demands. His tenure saw the resolution of Ram Janmabhoomi case where a Ram Mandir is now being built. It was a dream of millions of Hindus who waited for centuries to see the temple at birthplace of Lord Sri Ram. By the virtue of his groundbreaking decisions, we have regained the lost glory of Hindu ethos and he is promoting Hindu culture and value on international level,” said Maharaj Shrikant Mishra.
Pt Jaiprakash Semwal, said, “This is a special day for all the citizens of India because the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who started a glorious journey of making a new India. With his efforts India is becoming a self-reliant nation and we providing solutions to the world now. During his nine years, he has worked for all the communities in India. He is the prime minister under whose leadership the foundation stone of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir was laid in Ayodhya that will open to the public in 2024. He took Hinduism to a next level. He launched a multi-dollar-million redevelopment project of a 200-year-old temple in Bahrain dedicated to Lord Krishna.”
Pt. Prakash Joshi, said, “India has never seen a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi who has become a great unifier of different communities. He has brought peace and prosperity to all corners of the country. Under his leadership the restoration and renovation of Hindu temples such as Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi, Somnath Temple, Kedarnath Temple, Raghunath Temple in Srinagar was undertaken. The Char Dham Project to ensure easy commute to Hindu pilgrimage sites – Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri was helmed by PM Modi.”
Kashish Warsi, president of Sufi Foundation, Moradabad, said, “The country is proud to have such a Prime Minister as he has made everyone proud. During last nine years the country has progressed on unprecedented levels which shows his commitment for the welfare of people in the country. His approach has been holistic and has taken along all the communities to develop India.”
Pt. Devi Prashad, “PM Modi made all those things possible which were deemed impossible by previous governments. He decisiveness and strong leadership has catapulted India to the pinnacle of growth and development. He believes in communal harmony and brotherhood as without this development is not possible.”
He also said that PM Modi’s philosophy is showcased in the decisions and initiatives taken by him during the last nine years which have resulted in welfare of all communities without any discrimination. He has served all religions equally including Hinduism.
