DSCW holds Webinar on “Hindi Cinema-Literature and Music” on World Music Day
Ferozepur, September 21, 2023: On world Music Day, the music department of Samaj College for Women – A+ graded by UGC in academic, social and cultural activities, conducted a Webinar on ‘Hindi Cinema-Literature and Music”. In this webinar, Lavanya Kirti Singh 'Kavya', Professor, University Department of Music and Drama, Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga (Bihar) gave an online lecture.
Professor Lavanya Keerti Singh 'Kavya', while explaining, said that music is actually an experience which is personal as well as social. Songs, music, literature, cinema are associated with different forms of society. It conveys the feelings of the people. The songs of Hindi films have greatly influenced the Indian and non-Indian Hindi lovers. Hindi cinema's success is based on its music. In today's time there is a growing atmosphere of frustration, alienation and mutual bitterness and hatred in relationships. Then the person wishes for such happiness where he can be stress free and happy for some time. Literature, music and cinema have greatly helped the common man to reach this level. She mesmerized everyone with her thoughts and sweet voice.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sangeeta said that with the beautiful combination of Hindi cinema, literature and music, all three will move forward on the path of development. This will give a new direction to the society and pave the way for constructive thinking. Dr. Sangeeta thanked Prof. Lavanya Kirti Singh 'Kavya' for giving her valuable time.
