Haryana State Biodiversity Board to organize state-level program for International Day of Biological Diversity

Chandigarh, May 20, 2024 – The Haryana State Biodiversity Board will organize a state-level program on International Day of Biological Diversity on May 22 at GNK Group of Institution Yamunanagar.
A plethora of engaging competitions, including Poster Making and Slogan Writing, are scheduled to take place, offering a platform for creative expression and advocacy for biodiversity conservation.
Furthermore, an Awareness Rally, led by enthusiastic students, will traverse through the city, aiming to sensitize the general public about the critical importance of biodiversity conservation.
The event will also feature enlightening skits on Environment Protection, performed by students, underscoring the urgent need for environmental stewardship.
While stating this here today, an official spokesperson informed that Sh. Randeep Singh Jauhar, Chairman of the Haryana State Biodiversity Board will be chief guest on this occasion.
Vasvi Tyagi, Chief Conservator of Forests, Ambala and Yamuna Nagar, will deliver the keynote address, shedding light on the pivotal role of biodiversity in sustaining life on our planet.
In a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, the event will also witness the felicitation of distinguished organic farming practitioners, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to sustainable agricultural practices.
This event marks the inaugural state-level function organized by the Haryana State Biodiversity Board since Sh. Randeep Singh Jauhar assumed the role of Chairman.
