PAU's PABI empowers women startups

Ludhiana, May 24, 2024: The SHE (Startups’ Handholding and Empowerment) 2.0 Punjab event, held virtually by Punjab State Council For Science and Technology (PSCST), marked a significant milestone in the journey of women startup empowerment in the region.
The event chaired by Dr JK Arora, Executive Director, PSCST, was a vibrant confluence of ideas, innovation, and insightful discussions aimed at nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit. Dr Dapinder Bakshi, Joint Director, PSCST welcomed all the stake holders of SHE network.
Dr TS Riar, Principal Investigator at Punjab Agri Business Incubator (PABI)-cum-Additional Director Communication, PAU stated, “The PABI program is dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Events like SHE 2.0 are crucial in creating a supportive ecosystem for startups.”
His virtual presence underscored his commitment to providing continuous support to budding entrepreneurs. Rahul Gupta, Assistant Manager at PABI, conducted a comprehensive boot-camp during the event.
The session was instrumental in promoting the PABI program, enlightening the attendees about the opportunities and resources available for startups in Punjab.
The event also featured an online boot-camp by Co-PI of PABI, Dr Poonam Sachdev, focusing on the role of PABI in empowering startups, particularly those led by women entrepreneurs. The boot camp was a part of SHE 2.0’s initiative to provide startups and other incubators in Punjab with the knowledge and tools necessary for success.
As the event wrapped up, the future for startups in Punjab looked promising, with PABI playing a pivotal role in their growth and development.
