CGC Landran celebrates placement day

Chandigarh, May 27, 2024: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran celebrated its annual placement day on campus marking a significant milestone for CGC’s placed students embarking on their career journey. Having a distinguished legacy of 23 years, bolstered by its prestigious NAAC A+ accreditation, CGC Landran registered a successful placement season.
The institution hosted more than 900 companies for recruitment drives with over 9,000 job offers for students with the highest package being more than 50 LPA.
CGC’s placed students, a significant number of them with multiple job offers, celebrated their success with a victory procession, selfies and lunch. Highlighting the edge they have over their peers, CGC students have received job offers from a wide spectrum of industries, ranging from IT services, Banking and Financial Management, Retail, Hospitality and Tourism, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology demonstrating their versatility and adaptability to various job roles and sectors, underscoring the trust and confidence reposed by recruiters in the institution.
Noteworthy offers from prestigious brands include Atlassian Corporation extending Rs. 34.3 LPA for B.Tech (CSE, IT) graduates, Autodesk India Private Limited providing Rs. 36 LPA for B.Tech (CSE, IT), American Express Banking Corporation Ltd. (AMEX) offering Rs. 18.9 LPA for MCA graduates, Microsoft R&D India Pvt. Ltd., offering Rs.11 LPA for B.Tech (CSE, IT) graduates, Google Cloud offering Rs. 26 LPA for B.Tech (CSE, IT) graduates, Intel technology Pvt. Ltd. offering Rs. 20 LPA to M.Tech graduates (CSE and related branches), Zscaler Softech India offering Rs. 26.5 LPA to B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA (Cyber Security) graduates, and Walmart Labs India offering Rs. 21 LPA to B.Tech CSE, IT graduates. Hotel Management graduates received job offers from reputed recruiters including Hyatt Group, The Oberoi, Radisson Blu, Dominos Pizza-Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd., Jones Lang LaSalle India, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., Trident Hotels, with highest packages offered by McCain Foods Ltd. which offered Rs. 7.5 LPA and Sapphire Foods India Pvt. Ltd. which offered Rs. 5 LPA to hospitality students. Pharmacy graduates from CGC received offers from American Institute of Pathology & Laboratory Science, Wissen Research Pvt. Ltd., among others with highest offers of Rs. 10.05 LPA from Mu Sigma Business Solution Pvt. Ltd. and Rs. 8 LPA from PQE India Pvt. Ltd. Biotechnology graduates from the institution got offers from a host of reputed firms some of which include Unacademy offering Rs. 8 LPA and Pyramid IT Solutions with an offer of Rs. 7 LPA.
Additionally, Josh Technology Group was offering Rs. 14.2 LPA to BCA, B.Sc.(Computer), MCA and B.Tech (CSE, IT, ECE), M.Tech (CSE, IT) graduates while another reputed company Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd. was offering Rs. 10 LPA to MBA graduates. Dell Technology offered Rs. 8.6 LPA to BCA and B.Com graduates, while Whirlpool India offered Rs 11 LPA to MBA graduates.
The recruitment drive showcased a wide array of roles across various specializations, from Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited offering Rs. 9 LPA for M.Tech graduates to British Telecom providing Rs. 8.9 LPA for B.Tech (CSE, IT, ECE,) graduates and Goldman Sachs Services Pvt. Ltd. extending an offer of Rs. 22 LPA for B.Tech (CSE, IT) graduates.
Beyond salaries, many companies offered additional benefits, enhancing the attractiveness of their packages with a select number underscoring diversity in their hiring practices for instance Delphi Automotive Pvt. Ltd.
(APTIV) which was offering Rs.9.3 LPA exclusively to female graduates in B.Tech, M.Tech (CSE, IT, ECE). CGC Landran's commitment to fostering strong industry-academia partnerships has resulted in recruitment from leading MNCs, including KPIT Technology, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture, Mphasis, L&T Technology Services, Nokia, and Persistent.
A key highlight of this year’s placement drive was the participation of the prestigious Big Four Consulting Firms--Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PwC. Moreover, collaborations with top tech companies further ensure that CGC’s students are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge required to excel in their chosen fields.
