Teachers' Day celebrated at CGC Landran

Chandigarh, September 7, 2024: CGC Landran organised ‘Euphoria 2024’, to celebrate Teachers’ Day. The occasion was marked with fun activities, games, cultural presentations, and felicitation of faculty members expressing heartfelt gratitude for their valuable contributions as educators and nation builders.
215 faculty members from departments including Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, and Biotechnology were recognized for their exceptional service and dedication to enhancing the quality of academics through the best teaching-learning processes.
While 27 teachers were honored with the Best Teacher Award citations, More than 55 teachers were commended for outstanding achievements in research, innovation, and patent filing.
The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries including Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, of CGC Landran, and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President of CGC Landran, who extended their heartiest best wishes to all the teachers and thanked them for their service.
They were accompanied by the Campus Director, Dr. P.N. Hrisheekesha, Directors and Deans of CGC Landran. Appreciating all the teachers, Chairman, Satnam Singh Sandhu said, “Teachers’ Day is a significant day for the entire nation as it allows us to thank and honor our educators who play a major role in empowering students with knowledge. Celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, we must continue to learn from his life and example. I would also like to thank all our teachers at CGC Landran for strengthening the institution’s longstanding legacy. I would encourage you all to stay motivated and upskill yourself regularly to keep up with the rapidly evolving dynamics and requirements of the education sector.
He also added that, "At CGC Landran, we take immense pride in recognizing the hard work and dedication of our teachers. As the world evolves with advancements like AI, teaching pedagogies, research work and related fields too, are bound to change. Therefore it is crucial that we as educators adapt to these changes as the focus today is on student-centric learning. We are committed to understanding and tackling the challenges posed by AI and emerging technologies, ensuring ease of teaching and living for our teachers. By embracing new technologies and tools, our teachers can focus on growth, both academically and entrepreneurially."
Urging all the teachers to never limit themselves, he added that when our teachers excel, so does our campus.The event concluded with the awards ceremony across other categories for achievements in the field of education.
