National Youth Day with 'Little Champ Carnival' held in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 12, 2025: A vibrant Little Champ Carnival on Sunday to mark National Youth Day, commemorating the 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was organized by Vivekanand World School. The event, held with great enthusiasm, was graced by the school’s director, Dr. S.N. Rudra, as the chief guest.
The program commenced with a tribute to the statue of Swami Vivekananda, followed by a series of engaging activities for children and youth. Highlights included performances such as fancy dress, ramp walks, bhangra, Lohri dances, martial arts, shooting, and skating. Creative competitions like rangoli, mehndi, tattoo making, and coloring allowed children to showcase their talents.
Principal Tajinderpal Kaur emphasized the importance of such events, stating, "These activities boost children’s confidence and help uncover their hidden talents." Dr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar added, "Cultural and physical activities bring energy and inspiration to young minds."
Dr. S.N. Rudra praised the participants and noted, "This event symbolizes the potential and bright future of the young generation."
The event was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Karamjit Kaur (President, Nagar Council Mallanwala), Kulbir Singh Zira (Former MLA), and community leaders such as Mahavir Singh, Lakhwinder Singh Bhullar, and Charanjit Kaur, among others.
