CGC Landran becomes India’s first Engineering College to earn QS I-GAUGE platinum rating

Mohali (Punjab), April 9, 2025:Chandigarh Engineering College CGC Landran, Mohali, has achieved the prestigious Highest Platinum Rating overall and in all 9 criteria in the QS-I GAUGE College Rating 2025 and is the only Engineering college to attain this feat. The Institute excelled across all nine criteria, earning the top Platinum rating overall and in each category.
The seven core criteria include Teaching & Learning, Faculty Quality, Employability, Diversity & Accessibility, Facilities, Social Responsibility, and Governance and Structure. Additionally, the advanced criteria focus on Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
The QS I-GAUGE rating system evaluates various aspects of higher education institutions in India, categorizing them into primary parameters that are significant for colleges. The results reflect the individual performance of each institution.
CEC-CGC Landran, Mohali, has demonstrated exceptional performance, achieving full scores in areas such as teaching quality, student satisfaction, and the effective use of learning management systems (LMS).
The college has also earned full scores in faculty satisfaction and retention rates. Furthermore, the employability rates of its graduates are impressively high, reflecting outstanding results.
With students coming from across the country, the institute has excelled in the Diversity and Accessibility criteria, while placing a strong emphasis on social responsibility, resulting in a remarkable performance in this area as well.
