PABI launches one-month Agripreneurship training programe at PAU

Ludhiana (Punjab), September 23, 2025: Punjab Agri Business Incubator (PABI), Directorate of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), inaugurated its one-month training programme on Agripreneurship Orientation (UDDAM), Agribusiness Incubation (UDAAN), and Student Orientation today.
The programme is designed to strengthen the agribusiness ecosystem by equipping startups and students with mentorship, technical knowledge, and incubation support.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr MS Bhullar, Director of Extension Education and Course Director of the programme, emphasized the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in transforming Punjab’s agricultural landscape. He highlighted PAU’s role in nurturing startups to bring scalable solutions for farmers.
Dr Kuldeep Singh Pandhu, Associate Director (Public Relations), introduced participants to the PAU ecosystem and communication linkages, stressing the significance of effective networking and outreach.
Providing a detailed overview of PABI and its incubation ecosystem, Dr Poonam A Sachdev, Co-PI PABI, explained how the incubator is guiding entrepreneurs through structured mentorship, capacity-building sessions, and market linkages. Later, she proposed a vote of thanks.
Earlier, Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director, Skill Development Centre, welcomed the dignitaries, faculty and the trainees.
Er Karanvir Gill, Business Manager, PABI and Technical Coordinator, along with Mr Rahul Gupta, Assistant Manager, PABI, presented the process layout and workflow of PABI, giving participants a roadmap of incubation support, funding opportunities, and operational frameworks.
With more than 70 participants, the month-long training will feature expert lectures, mentorship sessions, and practical exposure, preparing participants to convert their innovative ideas into successful agri-business ventures.
