Renowned not only for his soulful singing but also as a mentor to generations of artists, Puran Shah Koti Ji was a living school of music.
He played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of prominent singers including Hans Raj Hans, Jasbir Jassi, and his son, Master Salim, one of Punjabi music’s celebrated voices. His dedication to Punjabi culture and Sufi traditions left an indelible mark on the industry.
Known for the spirituality and simplicity in his singing, Puran Shah Koti Ji devoted his entire life to preserving and promoting Punjabi folk and Sufi music, earning respect and admiration across the globe.
