Jalandhar, May 07, 2020: The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police today registered 15 FIRs against violators of curfew norms including eight against people without masks and arrested 14 people.
Divulging the details, the Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today said that during the curfew imposed to check the spread of Corona virus in the district, the Commissionerate Police today registered 15 FIRs and have arrested 14 violators. He said that this include eight against those without masks. Bhullar said that on today a total of 410 challans were issued to defaulters for traffic violation and 17 vehicles were impounded.
The Commissioner of Police further said that since the imposition of curfew 625 FIRs including 192 without mask have been issued. He said that so far 791 arrests have been made for violation of the curfew norms. Bhullar further said that a total of 14058 traffic challans have been issued to the violators and 1246 vehicles have been impounded by the Commissionerate Police during the curfew imposed to keep the Corona Virus at bay.
