Gippy Grewal and 100 more booked for violating curfew norms
Banur, May 1, 2021:
Banur police registered a case against Punjabi artist Gippy Grewal and several others on Saturday for shooting a film at a farm house of Karala village here despite curfew imposed in the district. The artist had not taken any permission for the shooting, said the police.
As per the information, Gippy Grewal was present at the set of his upcoming comedy film, Girdhari Lal, with his crew members when the Patiala police raided there following a tip-off. A few artistes even fled from the spot on seeing the cops.
A case has been registered against him and others under Section 188 of the IPC at the Banur police station. Later, the artist got bail after the intervention of Congress leader Gurmel Singh Fauji.
Grewal also apologized for the same and assured the police that he would follow all the COVID guidelines in future.
The police are now taking legal action against the owner of the studio/farmhouse.
