Jalandhar, April 21, 2020: Jaskirat Kaur (30) daughter of Padam Shri Ragi late Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa won the war against Covid 19 and was discharged from the local Civil Hospital here today after all her reports turned out negative.
Jaskirat was brought to Civil Hospital on April 1 following the death of her father, who was a world-renowned and revered Kirtan Ragi.

Subsequently, she was found coronavirus positive during tests conducted at the hospital. A team of doctors led by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Kashmiri Lal treated Jaskirat.
After treatment at the civil hospital, her samples were sent to Government Medical College Amritsar on April 17, the report of which came out negative.
Another sample was sent on April 19 for confirmatory test, and this one too returned a negative result. Subsequently, she was discharged from the hospital today.
Expressing complete satisfaction with the treatment she received at the Civil hospital, an emotional Jaskirat said the entire team of doctors especially Dr. Kashmiri Lal treated her like their own daughter. She also thanked all the medical and para-medical staff who took care of her.
Lauding the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for making special efforts for treatment of Covid 19 affected patients, she said that the entire hospital staff was very cooperative and they took very good care of her while she was admitted there.
She also urged people to combat Covid 19 by staying at home and taking precautions.
She also thanked Punjab Police officer Balwinder Singh for supporting her and her family in this hour of crisis.
