22 test positive for Covid including four Asha Workers
Moga, May 2, 2020: 22 people have tested positive for coronavirus infection including 17 pilgrims returned from Sri Nanded Sahib, one NRI, and four Asha workers. Also, report of 175 samples is awaited.
Addressing media persons Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans said that all the 22 positive patients have been shifted to an isolation facility at Moga civil hospital where they will be cared for.
He added that the Asha workers were working in areas of villages Maddoke, Chuhar Chak, Dhudike and Takhandwad. Hence the contact persons of all four Asha workers are being traced now.
He added that the Health department has made adequate arrangements for housing suspected by setting up nine quarantine facilities and six isolation facilities for the confirmed Patients.
At isolation centers facilities for oxygen, medical side, food etc is being provided to the patients. Similarly at the nine quarantine centers set up in district people are being provided food, lodging and boarding facilities.
He said that people who are coming from outside the district are not allowed to reach at their respective villages or localities in the city without the 14 days mandatory quarantine.ઠ
The deputy commissioner said that apart from the food, shelter and toilet the medical facilities and their counseling too is being done on a regular basis.
