Names of several Sikh NRIs were removed from black list during Modi's government

Ludhiana, May 23, 2024: Ravneet Bittu, BJP candidate from Ludhiana today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was committed for the honour and welfare of Sikh community. He always keep in mind the interests of minority communities.
Bittu said that Prime Minister never forgets to pay obeisance in Sikh shrines whenever there is some important occasion or otherwise. Narender Modi is a true devotee of Sikh Gurus as he developed respect for the Sikh Gurus and the community during his long stay in Punjab. Modi has always described Sikhs as brave, secular and honest people and acknowledged their contribution in the freedom struggle.
Bittu said that it was necessary to explain the mindset of PM Narender Modi when he is visiting Punjab. He said that certain quarters were projecting Modi as anti-minority but it is not true at all. He said that he had shared the thoughts with Modi on Punjab and Sikh community and found him very specific in his approach towards the Sikhs.
Bittu stated that Narender Modi opened the Sri Kartarpur Sahib corridor which the previous governments failed to do.
He withdrew GST from the food items used in Langar(Community kitchen) in Gurdwaras and places of worship of other religions. He celebrated 550th Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev ji and veer bal divas at national level.
He further elaborated that Narender Modi safeguarded the interests of Sikhs living in Kashmir and migrated from Afghanistan. It was during the Modi's government that black list of Sikhs prepared by previous Congress governments was reviewed and many names were deleted to allow genuine Sikhs to visit their homeland. Modi had encouraged communication with diaspora and developed airports in Punjab for comfortable journey of NRIs.
Bittu said that Modi government had reopened several cases of Delhi massacre of Sikhs and many Congress leaders including Sajjan Kumar were convicted due to proper follow up of cases. He said that it was reminder for the Sikh community to payback with same coin and vote for BJP so that Narender Modi achieves his target of 400 Lok Sabha seats.
