  Chandigarh, December 10, 2025: Just ahead of hearing on petition of Akali Dal leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema and LoP Partap Singh Bajwa on viral audio leak of Patiala Police, Patiala SSP Varun Sharma has proceeded on leave for a week. DGP Gaurav Yadav had informed the State Election Commission yesterday evening that Varun Sharma had sought a week's leave due to some family work and they had sanctioned it.
  
  SSP Sangrur Sartaj Chahal will oversee work of Patiala.
