Tikri Border (Delhi), January 06, 2021 - A Haryana's farmer has chosen a unique way to protest against the controversial agriculture ordinances by keeping him shirtless throughout the day at the Tikri border here.
Ravinder Singh of Lamba village in Fatehabad district has set-up a stall of DJ sound near the Tikri border where he keeps him shirtless and plays motivational songs along with emotional speeches. Ravinder along with hundreds of his accompanists, holds a 6 kilometre rally daily at 9 am till the barricades, after removing their shirts.
This farmer of Fatehabad is also encouraging other farmers (protesters) to maintain cleanliness around their tents and trolleys, which are standing roadside. Along with this, Ravinder is also serving food and 'Kaarha' (immunity boosting drink) to the people. He is also controlling the road traffic along with the help of four of his co-ordinators.
"I choose this way to show the central government that we don't hide any weapons inside our clothes like the terrorists. They are calling us terrorists despite the fact we are protesting peacefully. Initially, we were just 10-15 persons, who started the 'naked rally' but now we are hundred plus. I appeal all the farmers to join us and to demonstrate in a disciplined manner," said Ravinder.
Ravinder Singh said that he has also prepared a special trolley at his village which is loaded with luxurious facilities including attach washroom, LED screen, washing machine, iron, hair dryer and gas geyser. "I prepared the trolley just like a vanity van in three days after hearing the statement of Amit Shah in which he mentioned that the farmers have no standard. We are farmers and we can do anything," he added.
