Rapid testing starts ; Two positive cases surface
S. A. S. Nagar, April 14, 2020: As part of the strategy to further upgrade the testing to make an assessment with regard to corona virus positive, the Rapid Testing for COVID 19 started in Punjab today from Jawaharpur.
The samples of patients with symptoms from Jawaharpur and those with history of fever from Flu Corner, Derabassi were taken on the occasion and all were found negative.
In a major relief, one female patient, age 36 years, resident of Sector 69, Mohali has been discharged from Gian Sagar Hospital after testing negative twice for COVID19.
It is worth mentioning that the woman had been admitted to the Gian Sagar Hospital on the 26th of March, 2020. Her husband was earlier found positive for corona virus. Both had travel history to UK.
Meanwhile, the District today saw two positive cases emerge. Out of these, one is a 56 year old woman who is the immediate family member of already positive cases while the another case is a 38 year old woman who is the immediate contact of the earlier deceased woman from Mundi Kharar.
