Combines must be thoroughly sanitized

Nagar, April 15, 2020: The District Administration in coordination with the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, is undertaking all necessary measures to ensure that social distancing guidelines are fully observed by the farmers and farm labourers while undertaking harvesting of wheat.
Disclosing this here today, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan said that the combine owners are being sensitized to sanitize their combines with the sodium hypochloride or the sanitizers in order to stop the spread of corona virus disease.He also said that the combines entering the District from Handesra and Lalru would be thoroughly sanitized.
Adding more, he said that the farmers as well as the farm labourers engaged in the harvesting process must strictly observe the social distancing guidelines and besides this, everyone must cover their faces with masks. At the sites where harvesting is being done, proper arrangements for ensuring hygienic conditions must be made. In case any of the people connected with harvesting process suffers from any ailment such as coughing, fever, respiratory problems then prompt coordination must be made with the Health Department authorities and disengage such people from work.
